Osama was already dead

(Israel Twitter)-Indonesia's hardline Islamic Defenders Front will hold a prayer service for Osama bin Laden Wednesday, two days after the world's most wanted terrorist was killed in attack at his compound in Pakistan.

Celebrations are in full swing in Washington, and the ticker tape proclaims the glittering news in New York. The American psyche requires that the cowboy good guy gets his man bad guy, preferably in a spectacular shootout. It took a decade, but Osama bin Laden has obligingly played his part. But does his death mean anything, beyond psychic satisfaction?

But elsewhere, there has been relatively little sympathy for bin Laden this week. Muslim political leaders, like others, have welcomed the news.

Sen. Diane Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said she saw no need to release an image since there is other evidence to prove bin Laden is dead.

Taliban questioned the assertion.
"Obama has not got any strong evidence that can prove his claim over killing of the Sheikh Osama bin Laden," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mojahed said. "And secondly, the closest sources for Sheikh Osama bin Laden have not confirmed" the death.

Sen. Diane Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Tuesday. "The DNA has been dispositive.

U.S. In return for such an asset, Pakistan might well have obtained a greater role in negotiations on the outcome of events in Afghanistan, a vital Pakistani interest.

In the end, bin Laden was probably a bargaining chip in a high-stakes game of diplomacy over the future of the region.
