The Wild Bunch (2010 film)

He Wild Bunch, is an animated film which is scheduled to be released in the United States sometime in 2011, as the first feature length CGI animation film produced in Israel. This film features the voices of Abigail Breslin, Willem Dafoe, Chris Klein, Elizabeth Hurley, Jennifer Blanc, Willie Nelson and Keegan-Michael Key. The story talks about a group of genetically engineered cornstalks choose to invade an idyllic meadow.

The story follows the destiny of one very special teenaged Daisy, who was raised in the Sacred Meadow, the genesis of all life. Daisy’s idyllic existence is shattered when she has to brave the great, dangerous world outside the Meadow’s walls, and team up with a secret society of plant spies who, have worked covertly to protect the planet from human activity since the beginning of time. Daisy discovers that she alone can save her Meadow, and the world at large, against an attack by an army of genetically modified corn stalks.

Animation Lab included the skills of veteran animators, including Barry Cook, Daniel Cacouault, Woody Woodman, Monty Kimball, Dan Forte, and Louis-Philip Vermette, with Barry Jackson working from the U.S. on initial character development. Executive producer Douglas Wood made note that his team of animators "have contributed to the development of some of the entertainment industry's most successful animated films." The film is based upon a script by Philip LaZebnik,co-written with Roger Shulman, and revised by Paul Joseph Gulino and Jason Venokur. It is slated to be the directorial debut of Alexander Williams.The film was set to release in 2010 but it was changed to 2011.
