No Arrests in Jordanian Bomb Attack Against Israeli Diplomatic Convoy

Despite earlier reports to the contrary, Jordan’s information minister has issued a statement that an arrest in the bombing attack last week against an Israeli diplomatic convoy en route to the Allenby Crossing are not accurate. He added the investigation into the assassination attempt is ongoing, and his office will release updates at the appropriate time. Investigators appear to be looking in the direction of al-Qaeda or Hizbullah in the Thursday attack, which left a 10 meter crater in the road where the explosive was detonated against the convoy heading from Amman back to Israel.

Israel’s ambassador to Jordan was not in the convoy, but a number of embassy staff and security personnel were in the vehicles. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries or fatalities. Al-Arabia and other media sources reported Jordanian officials arrested a taxi driver as a chief suspect in the bombing attack. Source:theyeshivaworld.com/
